4 Shockingly good Halloween events this weekend

You can’t beat London for Halloween events, but if shit ever got real, it’s probably the worst place on earth. Here are some top picks of what’s happening in London this weekend.
28th October – End Of The World Party – Electric Brixton
Apparently, the world’s going to end on the 28th October. A pesky virus will take control, turning all of humanity into really annoying zombies. Not the useless non-scary ones that move really slowly but more like the ones that run after you like the clappers, think ’28 Days Later’ not World War Z.
Specialist virus-zombie scientist (who works at Boots in their spare time) confirms that there is absolutely nothing we can do about this with off the counter or prescription meds. So what’s the plan? Wait for some actual scientist to maybe come up with a solution on a Sunday afternoon, cry and complain whilst a really angry zombie bites off our face? Hell no. The answer is party like there’s no tomorrow. Which there isn’t (Apparently). So get to the End Of The World Party at to Electric Brixton on 28th October

If the world doesn’t end and your liver (if it hasn’t been eaten) allows you to do it all over again, here are some more things to do. More Info
29th October £1 Cinema Club Halloween special – ‘Scary Movie’ followed by The Grand’s grandHalloween Movie Ball
The hugely popular £1 Cinema Club will bringing ‘Scary Movie’ to the Clapham Grand’s HUGE HD screen this Halloween, expect more frights and mildly amusing sticks to wave at. Of course, fancy dress is a must (prizes for the best obviously), a blood-curdling photo booth, a blood-curdling dance off, creepy cocktails and Hot Dogs.
The world maybe ending (again) but your cinema ticket also gets you free entry to The Grand’s Halloween Movie Ball, soundtracked by the scariest DJs in London and complete with a mass (It’s not Halloween without one) dance off to The Time Warp, even more corpse-like cocktails and undoubtedly more Halloween puns that you will be dying to laugh at or is probably necessary.  More info
Want to enjoy the last days North of the river? Head to LDOS or Junkyard Golf
While the world is ending, The Last Days of Shoreditch are extending the last days until the end of the year. Perhaps people in Shoreditch are too cool to be eaten or something? Or they know something we don’t. Anyway we really love Red Market concept and don’t want it to end (in a blood bath or otherwise)
LDOS are having their Ultimate Halloween showcase with Zombie Ate My Brains DJs Belle and Bex, Clint Lee, Shane Watcha and a special guest TBA on Friday 28th October. Saturday 29thOctober welcomes OODOO Soundsytem who present Hugo (live) plus special guests.
Best of all they have some awesome food with the likes of Wingmans, Mama’s Jerk, Cheese Truck, Rainbo and meaty delights from Pull and Punch. More info
Ever golfed on Halloween? Me neither….. but now you can. Now I think of it, why wouldn;t you golf on Holloween, you’ll have a golf club in hand in case it all goes south. So another LDN Life firm favourite Junkyard Golf Club’s is having its very own ‘Day of the Dead’ party, Saturday 29th October at the Truman Brewery, Brick Lane from 7pm.
Expect a scare fest of surprises; Tarot Card readings, circus performers, fire eaters plus a world class magician in Marcus Lewis, formerly of Head Hacking. Junkyard Golf Club will receive the Halloween makeover with spiders, clowns and ghouls floating around the venue for a once in a lifetime crazy golf experience whilst DJs keep players going into the night. With four diverse courses on offer, Halloween themed cocktails plus the renowned Bart’s Dog Kart, Junkyard Golf Club has everything needed for the occasion. junkyardgolfclub.co.uk
There are of course many more events, but as I write this I’m building an anti-zombie fortress in Ikea, stockpiling meatballs and pear cider for the end of the world. I wish you all the best of luck! 🙂
