VAULT Festival -London’s largest fringe arts event

The VAULT’s festival is back this January and LDN Life can’t wait for it to lift us from this no more afternoon naps, back to work fug and gloom, which could in theory at least keep us safe from the elements and boredom until the weather starts to improve.

Welcoming over 200 shows for this year’s festival, the VAULT festival will return to its home beneath Waterloo station to showcase a wide variety of theatre, comedy, music, dance and film events.

For the first time this year, the VAULTS festival will expand its reach by also having performances take place at the Network Theatre and Morley College.

As well as showcasing a wide variety of performances, visitors to the festival can also pay a visit to a number of new bars and fresh food available to purchase. The two themed bars will be presented in collaboration with Meantime & Campari, to provide a range of cocktails and craft beers, while the food will arrive in the form of Balkano, a kitchen inspired by chef Martin H Shaw’s exploration of Eastern Europe.

The programme for this year’s VAULT Festival includes The Great Gatsby presented by The Guild Of Misrule, the return of Superbolt Theatre with Mars Actually. While Becoming Shades transfers from a sell-out run at Jackson’s Lane and heads the circus programme of the festival.

Talking about this year’s festival, the festival directors said: “VAULT 2017’s limit is beyond the skies and into the stars. We’ve crafted six weeks of entertainment for London: the artists you see here are the big names of tomorrow. VAULT finds inspiration in the future.

The 2017 VAULT Festival runs from the 25th January until the 5th March. For more information on the programme and to book tickets visit: http://www.vaultfestival.com/.
